It is one of 22 newly designated sites nationwide, joining two other Guangxi wetlands – Hepu Dugong National Important Wetland and Lipu Lijiang National Important Wetland – in this latest update.
Nestled in Changle town, Donglan county, the 549.4-hectare park boasts 263.78 hectares of wetland.
Stretching from Lawan hamlet eastward to Banmo hamlet westward, and from Hongshui River southward to the northern bridge of Banlian hamlet, it safeguards the karst river wetland ecosystem and habitats for rare species like Anguilla marmorata and Ptychidio jordani.
