The "World Longevity Township" Bama Yao autonomous county witnessed a historic moment on Wednesday at the 2025 Tour of Guangxi WorldTour, as Paul Magnier of Soudal Quick-Step secured his third consecutive stage win in the Jingxi-Bama segment.

The Jingxi-Bama stage was no easy feat. Stretching 213.5 kilometers, it was the longest stage in this year's Tour of Guangxi.

Along the route, cyclists faced one intermediate climb and two minor climbs, with a total elevation gain of over 2,000 meters. After more than four hours of grueling competition, the tension peaked in the final five kilometers, building up to a nail-biting bunch sprint at Bama's finish line.

Magnier rose to the occasion in the closing stretch. Already wearing the red jersey (for general classification), the young rider seized a critical moment and surge ahead in the final sprint, locking in his third straight win. Jordi Meeus of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe and Max Kanter of XDS-Astana followed closely behind, taking second and third place.

Bama's vibrant energy was on full display throughout the event. Local crowds lined the roads, cheering alongside traditional drum beats, turning the karst-fringed course into a lively celebration.

With this victory, Magnier kept hold of three key jerseys: the red one for overall standings, the blue for sprint leadership, and the white for the best young rider.
