In September, Bama Yao autonomous county held a promotional event for health tourism in Shenzhen, showcasing its wellness resources to Hong Kong residents and others.

The event sparked great interest. During the National Day Golden Week, 712,680 tourists visited Bama over the course of eight days, generating 596.4 million yuan ($82.9 million) in tourism revenue.

Known as a "pure land left by heaven", Bama has 93 centenarians (oldest 119), 1,146 people over 90, and 6,640 over 80, with its longevity index leading the world's top five longevity regions.

To ensure the safety of tourists, Bama's cultural and tourism bureau took multiple measures: organizing the Shenzhen promotion in mid-September, joining a senior care expo, and conducting safety checks at scenic spots like Baimo Cave in late September.

During the holiday, Bama upgraded services–adding online tickets for key scenic spots and hosting a Mid-Autumn gala. A Hong Kong tourist praised Bama's scenery, saying he would return with family.

Tourism boosted local consumption, with Bama's rice and health products selling especially well. Bama plans to improve its health tourism system, develop an innovation park, and deepen cultural exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, paving the way for more tourism cooperation.
