Hechi factory turns clay into toys with local distinctives
The E Toyon Factory in Dongjiang town, Jinchengjiang district of Hechi city, has been bustling with making toys before the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on Jan 29.
Qin Zhizheng established the factory in 2015, focusing on producing educational toys made from natural materials leveraging his expertise.
The Magic Corn toy, made entirely of pure corn, is particularly noteworthy. This toy is non-toxic, odorless, and non-irritating, cleverly designed to be both educational and entertaining, earning the favor of consumers both domestically and internationally.
Additionally, he has creatively incorporated yellow clay resources and elements of ethnic culture and intangible cultural heritage from Hechi into his products. He designed and launched a series of architectural products such as the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and Shanhai Pass, as well as local architecture like the Former Residence of Liu Sanjie.
These products not only preserve the essence of ethnic culture but also achieve product innovation, gradually gaining consumer favor.
The factory has also developed and operated several projects, including intangible cultural heritage skill study centers, cultural and creative products, and tourism commodities, providing local residents with employment opportunities.
