Nandan kiwi
The Nandan kiwi cultivation area is located at the southeastern end of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and is characterized by a subtropical mountain climate.
The region boasts dense forest vegetation, abundant and clean spring water, high levels of negative oxygen ions, and significant temperature differences between day and night, all of which contribute to the high-quality production of Nandan kiwi.
The main variety of Nandan kiwi is the Hongyang kiwi, introduced from Sichuan province in 2009. The typical fruit weighs between 60 and 110 grams, with the largest fruits reaching up to 180 g. The fruit is short and cylindrical in shape, with greenish-brown or yellowish-green skin. When cut crosswise, the flesh reveals bright red streaks radiating from the core. The flesh is rich and juicy, offering a fresh and sweet taste.
