Du'an Yao autonomous county attracts increasing tourists
Since the beginning of this summer vacation, Du'an Yao autonomous county has seen a rise in tourists coming to immerse themselves in local customs and admire the natural scenery.
Among them, the core area of the Du'an Underground River National Geopark has emerged as a top choice, drawing thousands of out-of-town visitors from across the country daily.
During a recent visit to Tunbang and Jiuling Sky Window scenic spots in Dongmiao township, reporters observed a bustling scene with the parking lot filled with vehicles from all corners of the nation. Surrounding the scenic area, a variety of stalls offered a wide range of agricultural products, local snacks, and refreshing foods, all proving highly popular among visitors.
The allure of Du'an lies in its distinctive natural resources and ecological environment. The region is renowned for its world-class underground river system, featuring over 300 uniquely shaped sky windows that create a dense and expansive network, providing excellent opportunities for underground river exploration.
Leveraging its unique karst landforms, especially the numerous and densely distributed group of underground river sky windows, Du'an is creating a world-class karst landscape, attracting tourists to explore the mysteries of the underground world.
By enhancing water quality protection to ensure the clarity and ecological health of wetlands and surrounding water bodies, the county aims to provide tourists with a high-quality eco-tourism experience.
