Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Rail boosts dual circulation

The newly opened Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating the dual-circulation development pattern, which takes the domestic market as the mainstay while letting domestic and foreign markets reinforce each other.

It is the first high-speed railway in Guizhou and Guangxi with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. With the completion of the entire line, travel time between Guizhou and Guangxi will be reduced from over 5 hours to just over 2 hours.

The 482-km-long railway connects several key cities along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. Starting from Longli North Station in Guiyang, it runs south through Qiannan Buyi and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou, as well as the cities of Hechi and Nanning in Guangxi.

Moreover, the railway is connected to other major high-speed railway lines, including the Shanghai-Kunming, Chengdu-Guiyang, Chongqing-Guiyang, and Guiyang-Guangzhou routes through the Guiyang railway hub. It also connects to the Nanning-Guangzhou, Nanning-Beihai, Nanning-Fangchenggang, and Nanning-Chongzuo intercity railways through the Nanning railway hub, creating a fast and convenient transportation corridor between southwestern and southern China.

The operation of the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway further enhances the transportation network in southwestern and southern China, which will accelerate the development of various industries, including tourism.

The completion of the railway has also spurred the rapid development of the new high-speed railway area in Hechi. With this opportunity, the local government is promoting the construction of large-scale logistics parks, freight stations, warehousing and distribution centers, and other supporting facilities. This will facilitate the efficient and seamless transportation of both passengers and goods.
