On Aug 31, the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway opened to traffic, connecting Hechi to the high-speed rail network for the first time ever.

Spanning a total length of 482 kilometers, the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway is the first high-speed railway in Guizhou and Guangxi designed for a maximum speed of 350 km per hour.

It plays a vital role in linking the north-south land corridor of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. It also forms a passage from Sichuan, Chongqing, and Guizhou to Guangxi Beibu Gulf, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hainan and other places.

It will facilitate tourism, trade, and investment between Guizhou and Guangxi, as well as benefit the people and industries along the route.
