Hechi residents excited for opening of high-speed rail
The Nanning-Libo section of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Rail is set to open in September. Hechi's four stations have attracted many visitors curious about the new facilities.
Tan Yubin and her four sisters recently got dressed and came to the square of Huanjiang Station to take photos and videos.
"Huanjiang is home to the largest population of Maonan people in the country, and the opening of the high-speed rail is a joyful event for us," Tan said.

At the square in front of Du'an Station, Wei Qinxin and her friends, who belong to the Zhuang and Yao ethnic groups, danced and sang in their ethnic costumes, expressing their joy for the high-speed rail.
"The opening of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Rail is a major event for Du'an and a long-awaited scene for its people. The people of Du'an can experience what it's like to travel at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour and reach Nanning, capital of Guangxi, in just 29 minutes," Wei said.
The Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Rail is expected to drive economic and social development along the line.
Tang Yumin, chairman of Du'an Badu Food Company, said, "With the opening of the high-speed rail, Du'an's beautiful scenery will attract more tourists, thereby promoting the development of the local food market."
