Mountaintop airport in China's Guangxi sees passenger traffic growth in Q1

A mountaintop airport in China's Guangxi has seen strong passenger traffic growth in the first quarter of this year.

The Hechi Airport, with an altitude of 677 meters, is the highest airport in Guangxi.

The numbers of flights and passenger traffic in Q1 increased by 118% and 226.79% respectively, compared with 2019.

The airport's runway has a length of 2,200 meters and a width of 45 meters.

The airport opened to traffic in August 2014, and now operates three flight routes.
