Relying on the unique advantages of its ecological resources, Hechi is developing its brewing industry, and building an industry chain with Maotai-flavor liquor as its leader.

There are 23 brewing enterprises in the city, including five above designated size, with a total annual brewing capacity of 90,000 metric tons.

Among them, Danquan Liquor has achieved an annual output of 15,000 tons of liquor and a storage capacity of more than 70,000 tons, becoming the largest liquor enterprise in Guangxi.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Danquan Liquor plans to produce 30,000 tons of cooking liquor annually, sell 30,000 tons annually, and increase the storage capacity of base liquor to 150,000 tons. Its annual sales aim to exceed 10 billion yuan.

In recent years, Danquan Liquor has invested in the construction of several comprehensive tourism projects such as Dongtian Jiuhai, Danquan town, Nandan Mineral Hot Springs, and Geyasigu.

Dongtian Jiuhai is the largest natural wine storage cave in the world, certified by Guinness. This unique wine storage environment maintains constant temperature, humidity, oxygen, and wind, thus creating a uniquely flavored liquor.

As a national 4A-level scenic area, the Dongtian Jiuhai Scenic Area has attracted countless tourists since its opening. In the first half of 2022, over 120,000 people visited it, making it a model for promoting the integration of liquor industry and tourism.

At the second Hechi Tourism Development Conference, it was announced that Dongtian Jiuhai was selected as a national industry-tourism integration demonstration base, becoming the only selected unit in Guangxi in 2022.
