The Bama to Pingguo section of the Tian'e-Beihai Expressway was completed and opened to traffic on Dec 26.

The opening of the Bama-Pingguo Expressway allows Bama Yao autonomous county in Hechi city, also known as the hometown of longevity, and Baise city, an old revolutionary area, to enter Nanning's two-hour traffic circle.

The number of expressway passages from Bama to Nanning has been increased from two to four and the traffic conditions of Bama, as an international longevity and health tourism resort, have been further improved. This is essential to the economic and social development of the regions along the route.

Ning Zhaopeng, deputy director of Baise municipal transportation bureau, said that the completion of the Bama-Pingguo Expressway is greatly significant and will improve the highway network in Baise. It will also help the construction of national key development and opening-up pilot zone in Baise.
