2 villages in Hechi make 'One Village, One Product' list

Nandan county's Lianhua village and Yizhou district's Shangping village in the city of Hechi were selected among the list of the 11th batch of national "One Village, One Product" demonstration villages and towns, according to the recent notice of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Lianhua village is the main production area of Nandan Huangla plums, a national geographical indication product. In 2020, the village's total fruit planting area was 4,800 mu (320 hectares), of which 3,800 mu was for Huangla plums.

Shangping village is a professional mulberry silkworm industry village in Yizhou district. The mulberry plantation area in the village amounts to 3,274 mu, accounting for 78.8 percent of the village's arable land. The annual output of fresh cocoons is 760 metric tons, and the total output value is 22.8 million yuan. The village has achieved prosperity by developing the mulberry silkworm industry.

Hechi is focusing on building a "One Village, One Product" regionalization and cluster development pattern, and continues to lead the high-quality development of rural industries.

Up to now, a total of eight villages in the city have been recognized as national "One Village, One Product" demonstration villages and towns, of which five are in Nandan county, two are in Tian'e county, and one is in Yizhou district.
