On Oct 14, Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county was awarded as the "mountains and rivers green are mountains of silver and gold" (Two Mountains theory) practice innovation base by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment at the Ecological Civilization Forum of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15).

Bama has become the first and the only county in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region that has been awarded the honor this year.

Bama is known as the "hometown of longevity in the world." It is a national key ecological function zone with unique longevity health resources such as a refreshing and pleasant climate, pure air, unique water quality, and green food materials.
