CPC congress announces Hechi's construction goals for next 5 years

The fifth CPC Hechi munpical congress opened on Aug 30 and reviewed the construction results of the past five years as well as announced the main tasks for the next five years.

In the next five years, the average annual growth rate of the city's regional GDP will be higher than the national average with an average annual growth rate of over 8 percent. The average annual growth of fiscal revenue will be over 9.5 percent, the average annual growth of the added value of industries above designated size will be over 10 percent, and the average annual growth of investment in fixed assets will be over 16 percent. With the development of industrial clusters, a modern industrial system will take shape, and the economic structure will be continuously optimized.

Hechi will continue to improve its urban and rural infrastructure, improve people's quality of life, and the city's urbanization rate will reach over 48 percent in the next five years.

The city's transportation network will become more complete, and it will become an important node and logistics hub in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in Western China. The city will optimize the business environment and strengthen its opening-up during the next five years.

In addition, the city will focus on protecting the ecological environment, the soft power of culture and the political environment.
