Luocheng to promote high-quality economic and social development

Luocheng has been promoting high-quality economic and social development this year, with the aim of building "an area, two cities and three bases".

This plan includes a minority rural revitalization demonstration area; a Mulam cultural and tourist city; a modernized satellite town for Hechi; a national high-quality water production base; a famous Guangxi wine production base; and a southwest characteristic agricultural products production base.

In order to improve the local business environment, the county has streamlined and standardized its administrative examination and approval processes, and effectively solved the problems faced by both enterprises and individuals.

The county has introduced preferential policies to attract foreign investment, and promoted the construction of contracted projects at the 17th China-ASEAN Expo. Its current operating rate stands at 80 percent.

In 2021, the county is pushing forward a total of 78 projects with a total investment of 29.9 billion yuan ($4.67 billion). Ten major projects, such as the Zhijianfang gold and jewelry processing project, a special education school and a high-standard farmland project, have been launched.

The county is focusing on transportation and water conservation infrastructure projects, and a total of 142 million yuan has been invested. Preliminary work on the Luocheng-Yizhou, Luocheng-Luzhai and Rong'an-Luocheng expressways has been started, and construction of the Banyangdong Reservoir Project began in the second quarter of the year.

Luocheng continues to develop cultural tourism with Mulam characteristics. By the middle of May, the county had received 642,700 tourists, a year-on-year growth of 109 percent. Total tourism consumption has reached 769 million yuan, with an increase of 117 percent over the same period last year. In addition, the county  encourages e-commerce enterprises to carry out online promotion activities.
