Hezhou-Bama Expressway to open to traffic by July
The countdown has officially begun for the completion of the Hezhou-Bama Expressway, which is expected to open to traffic by July 1.
The total length of the project is about 468 kilometers. Of this, the section from Hechi's Du'an Yao autonomous county to Bama Yao autonomous county is about 26 km, and has been built with a total investment of 2.1 billion yuan ($329 million).
The Hezhou-Bama Expressway will be an important part of the transit passage from western Chinese regions to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will also be a convenient transport channel between Bama and Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Meanwhile, it is of great significance in terms of promoting the economic and social development of Bama, as well as the areas along the expressway.
