Hechi's Donglan county was recognized as one of China's "climate livable counties" at the 2021 "climate symbol" press conference, which was held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on June 8.
"Climate symbol" is a general mark of high-quality brands. It is determined by climate-related conditions such as temperature, ecology, and agricultural product quality. It is an authoritative measure of an area's high-quality climate-related resources. As an important sub-brand of the national climate symbol, "China climate livable counties" is important in terms of measuring an area's climate friendliness.
The forest coverage rate in Donglan stands at 84.25 percent, while the county's ecological forest protection area is currently 1.82 million mu (121,333 hectares). It has three national protected natural areas. According to professional determinations, the content of negative oxygen ions in the air is between 3,000 and 90,000 per cubic centimeter.
