Hechi's Dahua Yao autonomous county officially set up the Dahua rural revitalization bureau on June 3, marking the start of a new journey towards rural revival.

Between 2016 and 2020, the county undertook 4,310 poverty alleviation projects, involving funds of 2.11 billion yuan ($330 million). Budgetary subsidies aimed at implementing the rural revitalization strategy in Dahua will reach 251.49 million yuan in 2021.

The county will increase investment in compulsory education, pay more for basic medical insurance, monitor residents' housing safety, and improve the safety of drinking water in rural areas. In addition, it will optimize its industrial structure, broaden employment channels, and strengthen talent introduction.

Since the beginning of 2021, the county has focused on the development of Qibainong chicken, mutton sheep, fishery and beef cattle, and has formulated detailed plans to promote the development of its top industries.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the county will construct demonstration villages, improve the rural living environment by improving rural toilet facilities, sewage treatment facilities and household garbage disposal facilities, as well as strengthening publicity and education to promote rural civilization.
