Hechi-Baise Expressway is the Guangxi section of the Shantou-Kunming Expressway, which connects many economically impoverished areas.

The expressway is the first of its kind to pass through the three counties of Donglan, Bama and Fengshan. Since it opened to traffic in 2018, the health industry and logistics industry in Bama have developed steadily, and agricultural product sales have greatly increased .

The expressway has become a passageway connecting Hechi with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, and has brought opportunities to boost Hechi's economic development, social progress and rural revitalization.

Passing through Hechi city's Jinchengjiang district, Nandan county, Donglan county, Bama Yao autonomous county and Fengshan county, as well as Baise city's Tianyang county and Youjiang district, the main line of the expressway is 179.2 kilometers long. The bridge and tunnel ratio of the whole line is about 31.5 percent, with 10 interchange bridges, three service areas, four parking areas, and nine toll stations.
