New film promotes Yizhou

Yu Huo Yi Zhou (The Greatness of Yizhou City), a new film based on the culture and history of Yizhou, began shooting on Longzhou Island, the birth place of the famous folk singer Liu Sanjie, in Hechi on April 8.

Directed by Liu Yonghong and Li Wen, the film will be the first to promote Yizhou's traditions, intangible cultural heritages and beautiful natural scenery. The film will be shot at several popular local scenic spots, such as Long Island and the Beiya township.

Primarily sponsored by the Yizhou party committee and the city’s promotional department, the film is expected to be finished in early May, with an official release in June.
