The library of Beihai city, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, invites residents to join its book donation campaign, running year-round from Tuesday to Sunday.

Donating a book is not only an effective reuse of resources but also a powerful support for public welfare causes.

To ensure the quality and value of donated books, the campaign specifies the following content and criteria. Donations should include books for young readers and children, as well as classics and works on domestic literature, law, history, science, and art for adults; along with local documents. The content must be wholesome and positive, suitable for minors and the general public. Only books officially published and printed from 2020 onward are accepted to maintain relevance and accuracy.

All donated books will be handled with great care. The library will conduct professional disinfection and sterilize each book, then systematically sort, classify, and catalog them.

The library will allocate these books to two primary areas. First, they will enhance the library's collection to support local reading initiatives. Second, many books, particularly children's literature and reference materials, will be distributed to schools and cultural centers in underserved communities. The library pledges to use all donations for public benefit and will monitor their impact to ensure that community generosity creates a meaningful difference.
