Cultural-tourism exchange links Guangxi with Vietnam's regions in Baise

A cultural and tourism exchange event between China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and five Vietnamese regions – Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang provinces and Haiphong city – was held in Baise, Guangxi, on Sept28, 2025. The gathering took place in a friendly, sincere and pragmatic atmosphere.

Leaders from both sides took part in the event. Vietnamese representatives included directors and deputy directors of culture, sports and tourism departments from the five regions, with Haiphong's representative participating online. Attendees, around 50 in total, included officials and tourism enterprise representatives from both sides.

The event marked two key milestones: the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic ties and the "China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges". 

Its core goal was to support building the China-Vietnam Community with a shared future at the local level, showing strong resolve to deepen people-to-people and tourism cooperation.

During the event, participants signed a meeting minutes. They agreed on multiple initiatives: holding regular exchange activities, promoting border tourism development, and studying ways to optimize border tourism scope and stay duration. These moves aim to boost practical cooperation between the two sides.

Guangxi also took the opportunity to promote a seven-day in-depth border tour route. It further arranged for the Vietnamese delegation to inspect tourism routes in Baise and Chongzuo, laying a solid foundation for future cross-border tourism collaboration.
