The 2025 Guangxi (Pingxiang) China-Vietnam Border Tourism Festival, scheduled from Aug 27 to 29, will highlight three key aspects to enhance regional cooperation: technological empowerment, the integration of culture and tourism, and inclusive growth.

Hosted by the Chongzuo Municipal Government and organized by Pingxiang authorities, the event features cultural, trade, and public-benefit activities.

Tech dominates with AI-powered experiences: unmanned truck races, interactive technology events at Youyiguan Pass (or Friendship Pass), robot dog shows, and drone displays, forming a new "AI + border tourism" model.

Cultural exchanges include Sino-Vietnamese folk art interactions, a border residents' gala, acrobatics shows, food fairs, and music festivals, all celebrating shared cross-border heritage.

Trade events will strengthen economic connections through various activities, such as an ASEAN import-export expo, a Silk Road e-commerce forum, a fruit trade fair, and a rosewood carnival. Yiwu merchandise, along with Vietnamese specialties like coffee and handicrafts, will be showcased, promoting business links.

To benefit visitors, free access to scenic spots, discounts on cross-border tours, and free shuttle buses will reduce travel costs, promoting broader participation in this regional collaboration platform.
