The 2025 ASEAN-Oriented Cultural Exchange and Cooperation Forum was held in Liuzhou, Guangxi. Delegates from China and ASEAN nations, such as Cambodia and Indonesia, gathered to discuss "Museums and the Future of Cities" and explore ways digital technologies can preserve heritage and promote sustainable urban growth.

Cambodia is developing a comprehensive digital archive and augmented reality experiences; Indonesia's "National Museum Explorer" app provides virtual tours; China's Film Museum is bringing Winter Olympics screens to life with immersive light shows.

During the forum, the International Council of Museums-Asia Pacific signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Liuzhou Industrial Museum to explore and revive industrial heritage through digitization.
