The biennial championship, organized by the International Jump Rope Union, stands as the premier global event in the sport. This year, it attracted more than 2,600 athletes representing 34 countries and regions. Guangxi's team of 20 - including 16 students from primary and middle schools in Liuzhou and 4 members from Guilin's jump rope association - participated in the competition.
Wei Yuanyuan from Liuzhou made history in the women's 12-15 age group 30-second single rope event by winning with 196 jumps. She became Guangxi’s first world jump rope champion and the region's first individual gold medalist in international competition.
