Over 1,000 teams compete in Guangxi's AI and robotics competition

The 22nd Guangxi Adolescent AI and Robotics Competition kicked off on July 29 in Guigang, Guangxi. It also serves as a cross-regional invitational tournament for ASEAN countries.

Around 6,000 teenagers, coaches, and observers from five ASEAN countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia, along with nine Chinese provinces and municipalities, gathered. They arrived with 1,050 teams, prepared to showcase their innovation and skills.

The event, focused on AI, includes six competition and maker tracks that span advanced topics such as robot programming and intelligent design. Among them, the AI creativity contest and 3D printing pen engineering challenge are exclusive to the ASEAN-invited segment.

During the competition, students demonstrated their robot operation skills and engineering creativity through hands-on activities and teamwork, while also building friendships.
