China Railway Express (CRE) has partnered with China Railway Nanning Group for the upcoming lychee harvest season, capitalizing on the advantages of the high-speed rail network. This will boost rural vitalization efforts and expand lychee sales channels for farmers in Guangxi's Lingshan county, ensuring their fruit reaches markets swiftly.

Known as the "hometown of Chinese lychees," Lingshan boasts a long cultivation history and a rich variety of breeds. This year, its output is expected to exceed 190,000 metric tons, yet transporting fresh lychees nationwide swiftly and efficiently is a pressing issue for local farmers.

To tackle this, the Nanning branch of CRE has taken proactive measures by visiting plantations in Lingshan before the harvest season and partnering with e-commerce platforms that specialize in lychee sales. This partnership has established a "green channel" for transportation, offering end-to-end services that include packaging, high-speed rail shipping, and last-mile delivery.

During the lychee harvesting season, cameras have been moved into the orchards, allowing viewers to witness the whole process of lychee sorting, preservation, and packaging in real time, thus expanding sales channels.

Guangxi has now achieved high-speed rail connectivity across all its prefecture-level cities, establishing an efficient bullet train network that enables same-day lychee delivery to 21 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities nationwide.

"High-speed rail express is timely, weather-resistant, and ensures on-time delivery, safeguarding quality while expanding our market reach," said Chen Huang, general manager of a local agricultural company in Lingshan.
