The scheduled operation lines of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor freight trains have reached a total of 23 after the timetable adjustment of the second quarter this year, connecting southwestern China and the northern Beibu Gulf regions, establishing a large logistics channel for combined rail-sea transportation and promoting economic and trade exchanges, China Railway Nanning Group (CR Nanning) announced on April 9.

This timetable adjustment adds four new freight trains, accounting for 12.5 percent of the total new trains on the national railways.

A new freight train, X9556/5, was added from Qinzhou Port East Station to Guiyang South Station. New freight train X9031 from Nanning South Station to Yen Vien Station, Vietnam, was added, bringing the total number of scheduled China-Vietnam trains to four, providing stable and reliable transportation capacity for bilateral trade.

CR Nanning further optimized the operation plans for freight trains in sections with strong transportation demand. For example, the number of freight trains on the Liuzhou South to Luorong section of the Hunan-Guangxi Railway increased from 38 to 40, and the number of trains on the Nanning-Pingxiang section increased from 24 to 32, effectively tapping into transportation potential and enhancing the transportation capacity of the main railway lines in Guangxi.
