The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor's rail-sea intermodal trains transported goods totaling 345,200 standard containers, a 68.2 percent increase year-on-year in the first quarter of this year, the China Railway Nanning Group reported on April 3.

In response to the rapidly increasing demand for intermodal trains, the China Railway Nanning Group has accelerated the turnover of containers to address the shipping requirements for bulk commodities such as coal and bauxite via the newly established passage. The organization has also deployed key personnel to high-traffic stations, including Fangchenggang Station and Qinzhou Port East Station, to closely monitor operational activities, enhance loading and unloading procedures, and ensure the efficient transportation of goods through this new passage.

Products such as Cambodian rice and Thai coconut perfume are consistently imported into China, while exports include Chongqing hot pot base ingredients, Guangxi new energy vehicles, and Hunan tissue paper, which are directed toward international markets.

In the first quarter of this year, Qinzhou Port East Station broke the single-day loading record four times, reaching a peak of 706 cars, and broke the single-day loading and unloading operation record four times, with a peak of 1,375 operations. Fangcheng Port Station broke the single-day loading record five times, reaching a peak of 2,590 cars.

The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor acts as a dynamic link, connecting domestic and international markets, enabling "Made in China" products to reach the world and facilitating the convergence of global goods into China.
