The signing ceremony for the China-ASEAN Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center was held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on March 18. The center aims to establish a transnational talent development system and promote cross-border research collaboration and exchange between China and Vietnam in the field of intangible cultural heritage.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations and the Year of China-Vietnam Humanistic Exchange. The center will utilize Guangxi's strategic position as a hub connecting China with ASEAN, with a focus on the joint development of art education standards, the digital preservation of intangible cultural heritage, and the incubation of cross-border cultural projects.

Educational resource sharing and talent training cooperation have become key areas of education-related collaboration between China and Vietnam. Guangxi Arts University has been actively expanding its international exchanges and has established friendly relations with 11 Vietnamese institutions and art groups.

Wei Junping, president of Guangxi Arts University, stated that the university is promoting academic cooperation and cultural exchange in higher art education and cultural heritage with ASEAN countries.

He expressed a desire to deepen cooperation in music education and cultural heritage between Guangxi Arts University and National University of Art Education in Vietnam, injecting vitality into China-ASEAN higher art education.
