The Detian Waterfall Scenic Area has welcomed six tour groups from Thailand, totaling 159 visitors since March this year. The site is expected to host nearly 1,000 Thai tourists from March to April, Wei Hong, deputy general manager of Guangxi Detian Waterfall Scenic Area, said on March 17.

The Detian Waterfall Scenic Area, China's first cross-border tourism cooperation zone, will host series events during the Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival holiday, showcasing the cultural charm of the China-Vietnam border.

In addition, the site plans to offer a 50 percent discount on tickets for Hong Kong and Macao residents from April 1 to Aug 31, promoting Guangxi's border tourism market.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations. The Detian Waterfall Scenic Area and Vietnamese tourism agencies have signed agreements to enhance cross-border cultural and tourism exchanges.

As of March 4, the Detian-Ban Gioc Waterfall cross-border tourism cooperation zone has hosted 2,021 tour groups and 30,700 visitors since its official operation on Oct 15, 2024.
