Liuzhou luosifen Industry revenue set to exceed $10b in 2024

The 10th anniversary of the industrialization of Liuzhou river snail rice noodles, or luosifen, was celebrated in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Jan 9.

Preliminary forecasts suggest that the total sales revenue of the Liuzhou luosifen industry chain is expected to reach 75.96 billion yuan ($10.36 billion) in 2024. This projection represents a year-on-year increase of 13.4 percent.

The first packaged luosifen company in Liuzhou was established in 2014, offering easy transport packages and instant products. After 10 years of brand cultivation, the brand value of Liuzhou luosifen is projected to reach 12.56 billion yuan in 2024. Through industrial planning, Liuzhou transformed this street snack into a leading product.

Cheng Fangxiao, president of the Liuzhou Luosifen Association, said that the 2024 sales breakdown included 16.9 billion yuan from packaged luosifen, 39.69 billion yuan from physical stores, and 19.37 billion yuan from related industries.

The Liuzhou Luosifen Association aims to coordinate with relevant departments and companies to improve policies, guide enterprises, and strengthen the entire industry chain.
