The eighth China-ASEAN Film Panorama, part of the 2024 China-ASEAN Film and Culture Week and the second China-ASEAN (Nanning) Culture Month, began on Dec 11 in Nanning.
The event runs until Dec 15, offering a vibrant cultural experience through screenings of outstanding films from China and ASEAN countries, alongside expert reviews and a film music festival aimed at deepening cultural exchange.
This year's panorama features 20 films, including nine from China and 11 from ASEAN nations, the most countries and films in the event's history. Screenings will take place across six cinemas in Nanning, offering audiences a chance to explore the unique cultures of the region.
The opening night featured the Thai film How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, which drew an enthusiastic audience. One local resident expressed her appreciation for ASEAN films and their emotional depth, hoping for more ASEAN films in the future to enrich the local cultural life and offer insights into the traditions and heritage of neighboring countries.
