The No 214 highway, a provincial-level road running from Wu’ai of Nandan county to Donglan county in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, recently passed its final inspection, meaning it will soon start benefiting nearly 100,000 residents along the route.

Funded by Guangxi Beitou Highway Construction and Investment Group Company, at a cost of approximately 512 million yuan ($72 million), the road serves as a crucial link between the counties of Nandan and Donglan. With a total length of 46.55 kilometers, the road runs for 3.64 km in Nandan and 42.91 km in Donglan.

The road will further strengthen the transportation networks of both Donglan and Nandan, putting an end to the long history of ferry crossings between Nandan, Tian'e and Donglan. It will also elevate the overall service level of the local road network, connecting historical tourism sites.

The road plays an active role in promoting the development of the local tourism industry as well as economic and social progress, while also contributing to rural vitalization efforts. This infrastructure achievement signifies a step towards regional connectivity and development, fostering a brighter future for the communities it serves.
