"Though we may not protect our nation as soldiers do, we can still convey our emotions through Jing ethnic music and make our meaningful contributions," said Zhao Xia, director of Guangxi's Dongxing Jingzu Museum.
The duxianqin is simple in appearance, unique in playing style, and beautiful and melodious in sound. With just one string, it can produce a hundred notes and craft an entire song. This instrument, with its extensive history and unique qualities, was added to the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2011.
