Explore majestic Chengjiang River in Du'an
Originating from Jiudun village in Daxing town, Du'an Yao autonomous county, the Chengjiang River stretches 42 kilometers. Flowing southward through the towns of Daxing, Gaoling, Chengjiang, and Anyang, it eventually merges with the Hongshui River at Hongdu village in Chengjiang town, serving as the lifeblood of the people of Du'an.
Viewed from above, the river cascades down from the Jiudun skylight like a sharp blade, splitting the continuous mountains into two halves, resembling a giant dragon rushing forward.
Due to the low sediment content in the water, the Chengjiang River is clear and transparent, with a blue-green hue akin to a lake, serving as one of the main irrigation channels in Du'an.
With flat terrain on both banks and expansive valleys, coupled with fertile farmlands, it is one of the primary grain-producing areas in Du'an, earning the distinction of being a land abundant in fish and rice.
