Qinzhou Port strengthens to build itself into an international gateway port. It has increased the variety of freight goods from 640 types in 2021 to more than 940 types at present, covering 117 stations in 17 provinces, 61 cities, and 393 ports in 119 countries and regions.

From January to May this year, Qinzhou Port completed a port cargo throughput of 75.71 million metric tons, an increase of 11.4 percent, and the number of containers reached 2.281 million TEU, an increase of 15.5 percent.

Recently, The No 9 and No 10 berths in the South Operation Area of the Dalianping Area in Qinzhou Port passed inspections, after 21 months of construction. This project involves the construction of two 200,000-ton fully automated container berths, a yard area of about 337,000 square meters, and an estimated annual throughput of 1.61 million TEU. With a total investment of about 4.19 billion yuan ($583 billion), this project can meet the berthing demand of the world's largest 200,000-ton container ships.

After the project is put into operation, the terminal will have an annual design capacity of 1.61 million TEU, which will greatly improve the port handling efficiency, increase the container handling capacity of Qinzhou Port, and realize the large-scale and intelligent development of Beibu Gulf Port.
