CAEXPO Tourism Exhibition unveils curtain in Guilin

The 2022 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition commenced on Sept 19, providing coverage online and on-site in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, showcasing the latest business ventures and products tailored to industries in cultural tourism.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region sponsored the exhibition, opening seven exhibition pavilions with a total area of 25,000 square meters. Among them, the exhibition areas for climate weather and cultural relics were set up for the first time.
Overseas institutions from over 50 countries and regions and corporate branches in China, delegations of over 20 domestic provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, and representatives of 13 Guangxi cities participated in the exhibition, taking up over 1,700 exhibition booths.

This year's exhibition aimed to fully use the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the beginning of building a 3.0 version for the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. The project will inject unprecedented vitality into the regional tourism and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN, speeding up the construction of transforming Guilin into one of the top tourist cities in the world and uplifting Guangxi into a top-rated tourist destination.
During the opening ceremony, Hu Heping, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, said the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is anticipating forming cohesion with tourism departments and organizations in ASEAN countries. He announced that these ASEAN countries would work together in a shared future to put forward all-round, multi-level, and high-efficiency cultural tourism exchanges and cooperation and make significant contributions to building a closer China-ASEAN community.
