The Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) has achieved eye-catching success in carrying China's education exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.

The university has given full play to Guangxi's geographic location for being close to ASEAN. GUET has taken the lead in launching China-ASEAN Information Harbor's electronic information talent cultivation and sci-tech innovation association. It has won support from 147 universities and enterprises in China and ASEAN countries.

The association has effectively promoted the depth and breadth of electronic information and artificial intelligence cooperation.

The university currently enrolls 2,212 international students from ASEAN countries, and the number of those pursuing master's and doctorate degrees has been increasing every year.

Events such as international cultural festivals and on-site tours in China have been held to let overseas students grasp an understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
