The opening ceremony of the 2021 China-ASEAN Youth Campus and the China-ASEAN Youth Development Forum was held in both Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and Yunnan province on July 19.

The event, held by the All-China Youth Federation, attracted around 100 students, including Chinese youths and students from ASEAN countries in Guangxi and Yunnan to attend the event both online and on-site. 

Attendees at this year's event will carry out a seven-day inspection and communicate with local rural communities and companies to learn more about China. 

"China and ASEAN are close friends. The cooperation between both two sides has achieved a leapfrog in development since the establishment of the China-ASEAN dialogue relations 30 years ago," said Fu Zhenbang, vice chairman of the All-China Youth Federation, in a video speech. 

"I hope that youths from different countries can grasp our history and deepen our friendship through communication and cooperation and to take more solid steps toward a China-ASEAN community with a shared future," Fu added.
