A total of 3,174 sea-rail intermodal trains on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in Western China have been operated in the first three quarters of 2020, with a year-on-year growth rate of 109.2 percent, China Railway Nanning Group Co Ltd announced on Oct 10.

The land-sea trade corridor has now developed into a logistics network connecting 92 countries and 234 ports around the world.

China Railway Nanning Group Co Ltd has been taking an active role in the construction and development of the land-sea trade corridor, carrying out measures like stabilizing prices and cutting fees to reduce logistics costs for companies.

Qinzhou Port's handling capacity of containers has seen growth as it has handled 140,000 20-foot equivalent units (TEU) by Aug 1, surpassing its total from last year.

Officials from China Railway Nanning Group Co Ltd noted that the company will further push forward the construction of railway ports in Nanning and Liuzhou to establish a regional railway port cluster facing ASEAN, taking a leadership role in the construction of the land-sea trade corridor.
