As of June 8, the annual container handling volume of the Qinzhou Railway Container Center Station, an important hub for the Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor, exceeded 100,000 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units), a year-on-year increase of 128 percent.

With the gradual improvement of the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control situation, as well as the benefits brought by national policies, the total volume of goods from West China provinces and cities, such as Yunnan province, Guizhou province, and Chongqing, sent abroad through the Beibu Gulf ports has grown rapidly.

Since May, Qinzhou Port has been operating seven sea-rail transportation lines daily. As of June 7, 1,385 sea-rail trains have departed and arrived at the station, an increase of 85 percent year-on-year.　

At present, a total of 13 domestic provinces and cities, as well as Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region have been included in the development of the Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

A united logistics network of intermodal transportation has been formed, involving the Southeast Asia region, countries along the Belt and Road, as well as Northwest China. It has enhanced the trade of China's western region, as well as promoted economic exchanges between the western region and other countries all over the world.
