The 2nd Session of the 13th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress concluded in Nanning on Jan 31.

The work reports of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government, the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Higher People's Court, and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Procuratorate were approved at the conference.

The implementation of the 2018 plan for national economic and social development and the 2018 budget were also approved, as were resolutions for the execution of 2019 draft plans and the 2019 budget. In addition, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Food Safety Regulations were made official after an open vote.

Lu Xinshe, director of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress, delivered a speech at the conference. He stated that blueprints had been drawn, and the key was putting them into action.

Governments, courts and procuratorates at all levels have been urged to consciously accept supervision, implement the resolutions and decisions of the People's Congress and its Standing Committee, and put into practice the proposals and suggestions of People's Congress deputies.

The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress and its standing committee should take full advantage of the strengths of the People's Congress system, strive to benefit the people, and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with a series of impressive achievements.
