The 2nd Session of the 12th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) began in Nanning on Jan 25.

CPPCC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee Chairman Lan Tianli delivered the work report on behalf of the Standing Committee, summarizing the six categories of work completed in 2018 and setting the course for 2019.

Since the 1st Session, 603 proposals have been submitted, of which 487 were filed upon examination and assigned to relevant authorities for execution, said Huang Ribo, vice chairman of the CPPCC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee, at the conference.

Party secretary Lu Xinshe spoke highly of Guangxi's achievements in poverty alleviation, infrastructure construction, coordinated development and nonprofit cultural causes over the past year. Meanwhile, more efforts were called to be made in 2019, which marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the CPPCC National Committee.
