In addition to these 16 new projects, the construction of four others projects were successfully completed. The total investment of the 20 projects in industry, agriculture, tourism, real estate, logistics, infrastructure, ecological protection, and people's livelihood reached 2.51 billion yuan ($367 million). "The implementation of these projects will have a significant effect on expanding effective investment, improving economic quality, and improving people's livelihood and welfare, and fulfilling the goals and tasks of the year," said Zhou Zhengying, the county magistrate of Quanzhou.

Focusing on the target of "building a medium-sized city in the northwestern gate of Guangxi and creating a sub-center city for Guilin", the county Party committee and county government have decided to implement 125 key projects with a total investment of 33.79 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 6.18 billion yuan. The strong promotion of these projects effectively expanded the county's fixed asset investment. In the first quarter of 2018, the fixed asset investment reached 862 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.2 percent. It is 4.6 percentage points higher than the city's average growth rate and it is also 2.7 percentage points higher than the goal set at the beginning of this year.
